ECHOES OF LAGOS

ECHOES OF LAGOS!
(2023~2024)
In this series of photographs, I attempt to capture the soul of Lagos, Nigeria. A city that is as vibrant as it is chaotic, as historical as it is modern. Through my phone lens, I sought to depict the many facets of this city, from its bustling markets and vibrant streets, to its colonial architecture and modern skyscrapers.
From the busy energy of oshodi market to Yaba, I aimed to capture the heart of Lagos and the people who call it home.
Lagos is a city of contrasts, and this collection of photographs seeks to capture the essence of those contrasts. Lagos is a city that echoes with the stories and struggles of its inhabitants.
In this series, I hope to provide a glimpse into the many lives and realities that make up the city of Lagos, revealing the resilience and beauty that lies within. The title 'Echoes of Lagos' was chosen to reflect the lasting impressions of the city on its inhabitants and visitors. The word 'echo' suggests something that reverberates and lingers long after the original event, and I believe this is true of Lagos.
Whether it's the sounds of the bustling streets, the sights of the colorful markets, or the unique flavors of Nigerian cuisine, the echoes of Lagos continue to reverberate in the hearts and minds of those who have experienced it.
